A teenage driver, Gareth Jones, has been charged with causing serious injuries to two individuals following an alleged incident of dangerous driving. Jones, who was 17 at the time, was reported to have been driving a Dacia Sandero on the B4333 near Newcastle Emlyn on 30 May last year when the incident occurred. Prosecutors allege that Jones’s driving led to severe injuries for two people.
Now 19, Jones, residing on Greenfield Terrace in Pontyberem, recently appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, facing two charges related to the incident. After a preliminary hearing on 22 October, the case has been referred to Swansea Crown Court, where he is expected to formally enter his pleas on 22 November.
Jones has been granted bail while awaiting his next court appearance. The case continues to attract local attention as it progresses through the legal system.
