More dash cam footage has revealed that an impatient motorist narrowly missed oncoming traffic as he was overtaking at speed.
An outraged driver uploaded the dash cam footage to social media and it received more than 15,000 views within hours of it’s publication.
The footage shows a grey Vauxhall Astra speeding past the dash cam equipped car and moving into the path of oncoming traffic. The Astra was travelling on the A941 Lossiemouth to Elgin road in Scotland.
The risky driving caused an oncoming van to swerve into the edge of the road to avoid a collision.
Moments later the video shows the Astra making a similar manoeuvre narrowly missing an oncoming stream of traffic.
The driver of the dash cam equipped car stated: “How many lives did this driver put at risk just to get into Elgin a few seconds early? It was a bit wild.
“I didn’t even know he was overtaking me until he zoomed past and straight into the path of that van, I felt such a shock.
“It was really scary how close he got to the approaching van. I sincerely hope there was a genuine reason for him to be going so fast.
“I was driving at about 60mph so he must have been going a lot faster than that. It gave me a bit of a fright.
“I don’t want to get the police involved or anything like that, I just want to make this person aware of how dangerously he was driving.”
